that will look great on your resume! The National Science Foundation
is funding 15 Engineering & Science majors (all levels) to work
in area schools conducting a variety of programs, in order to help
university students gain experience in teaching science and math.
You must have 2-3 hour time blocks available during the day, M-F,
8 am to 5 pm, in order to participate. Students must provide their
own travel to and from schools. Schools are located up to 120 miles
from Michigan Tech. All travel will be reimbursed. Salary is $8.00/hour
for 10 hrs/week for 12 weeks per semester.
Possible Jobs are:
Teach fun,
After-School Ecology & Physical Science classes for K-6 students.
Lead FIRST
LEGO Leagues for grades 4-8 students.
Help coach
Science Olympiad teams.
Help coach MATHCOUNTS teams.
Pick up applications from 105 Dillman Hall.
